About me

I am diploma qualified, and my client area covers Calderdale, Kirklees and Bradford.

Most of our life we are faced with challenges and difficulties

What counselling can offer is the promotion of well-being, and exploring areas of life that you may be finding hard and helping you to deal them more effectively. This is achieved by creating the opportunity for difference, working in a person centred direction. The relationship is equal, leading to growth and change, by identifying the areas that you may wish to change, and finding the inner resources to do so.

There are many times in our lives when we all really feel we need someone to listen to us.  Clients are seen as individuals with unique qualities. Counselling can help uncover long forgotten strengths, by talking and exploring different ways of being, promoting choices and helping you to discover the prefered you.

The fundamental values of counselling and psychotherapy include a commitment to:

Respecting human rights and dignity
Ensuring the integrity of practitioner-client relationships
Enhancing the quality of professional knowledge and its application
Alleviating personal distress and suffering
Fostering a sense of self that is meaningful to the person(s) concerned
Increasing personal effectiveness
Enhancing the quality of relationships between people
Appreciating the variety of human experience and culture
Striving for the fair and adequate provision of counselling and psychotherapy services
